Education should resolve national problems, says PM
BANEPA: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that education resolving the problems of country was the need of hour.
Addressing the 21st convocation ceremony of Kathmandu University (KU) in Dhulikhel of Kavrepalanchok today, Prime Minister Oli said that competitive and practical education was necessary for all.
Also the ex-officio Chancellor of the KU, Prime Minister Oli stressed that all should have an access to education, while referring to the government's policy of 'education of all'.
Pointing out that good uniform and tuition fee are not the bases for evaluation of education, PM Oli said that it depends on the quality of education gained by students.
He said practical education was necessary for us, saying the human resources produced from the University should be skilled and capable.
Similarly, Professor at the Seoul National University, SUNG Nak-in, said that success would be achieved after carrying out works with voluntary feelings.
Vice-Chancellor at the KU, Dr Ram Kantha Makaju, also expressed his view at the programme.
A total of 1,244 graduates received their degrees. Of them, 553 are boys, 691 girls and 100 are foreign students.
