Efforts on to meet gas demand: NOC

KATHMANDU:

The managing director of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) Digambar Jha on Wednesday said the corporation was making maximum efforts to regularise LPG supply in the market.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Gas Dealer’s Association at Media Group Nepal, Jha said despite the cash crunch NOC imported 9,000 metric tonnes of gas last month and it has imported 5,000 tonnes within the first half of December. Jha said the NOC was doing homework on adopting a du-al price system for domestic and commercial use of LPG.

President of the association said the government lacked clear policy and the NOC had been unable to meet the LPG demand.
