KAPILVASTU:

A gang of around 16 armed dacoits on Tuesday looted eight houses at Dohani VDC in Kapilvastu and made away with property worth about Rs 700,000, said the Kapilvastu District Police Office (DPO). The dacoits looted houses belonging to Ghana Shyam Teli, Ramman Baniya, Bijogi Baniya, Shiv Shankar Teli, Mustakiy Musalman, Haridwar Teli, Ramdhani Chaurasiya and Shiv Shankar Barai, police said. The site lies five kilometers east from the DPO. “We informed the police in right time; however, police did not come,” said a local Prakash Pandey.
