INARUWA: An elderly man committed suicide in Inaruwa, the district headquarters of Sunsari, on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Khatar Mehata (72) of Inaruwa-7.

Police said that Mehata was found hanging with a nylon rope at his house yesterday.

Mehata had also attempted to kill self by consuming poison three years ago, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Singh Chaudhary informed.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
