Chitwan: A person died after getting rammed by an e-rickshaw in Ratnanagar Municipality-1 of Chitwan district, on Friday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Hira Lal BK (65) of Jyamire in Khairhani Municipality of the district.

The e-rickshaw (Na 1 Ha 5185) hit BK inflicting him serious injuries near Bhaktini Garden yesterday, according to the Chitwan District Police Office (DPO).

Critically injured BK was rushed to the College of Medical Sciences in Bharatpur, where he succumbed to the injuries, in course of treatment at midnight.

Meanwhile, the Tandi Area Police Office, has detained the rickshaw driver and impounded the vehicle for further investigation.
