DAMAULI, NOVEMBER 12
An elderly died after the Madi River swept him away in Byas Municipality, Tanahun, on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Jhilak Bahadur Poudel, 60, of Indrawati Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchowk.
Police said the incident occurred while the elderly was bathing on the river bank. The elderly was found alive one kilometre away from the incident site, said police. Police said Poudel died in the course of treatment in Damauli Hospital.
