MELAMCHI: An elderly woman died and five others were injured when a mini truck met with an accident at Thakley of Melamchi Municipality-9, Sindhupalchok district, on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as 70-year-old Suku Maya Tamang, a resident of Melamchi Munuicipality-9. Critically injured Tamang died in course of treatment at the Nepal Medical College, Jorpati, in Kathmandu.

According to the police, the mini truck (Ba 3 Kha 5171) carrying husk and zinc sheets overturned due to overload, police said.
