KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has launched a mobile app 'ECN' and a toll-free number-16600144222  from Friday in a bid to inform voters about the local level elections slated to be held in two phases- May 14 and June 14.

Inaugurating the services, Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav said that the services come into operation for addressing election-related queries.

Yadav also directed the concerned employees to pay special attention to the operation of the services.

Likewise, Chief of the Information Technology Division at the Commission, Laxmi Prasad Yadav said election-related information on the app would be available in both Nepali and English.

The call centre is operated from the ECN's office at Kantipath where as many as six persons take calls from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm until June 17 and provide information on the upcoming elections.

One can get various election-related information like programme, voter list details, polling stations and places, details of election candidates and vote results through the app.
