Enrollment drive brings dropout children back to schools
PALPA: The school enrollment campaign launched in Palpa has been successful in bringing dropout children back to schools.
Those students who were financially poor or were unaware of the importance of education have returned to schools.
Under the campaign, door-visit programmes were held with the commencement of this academic session to make parents aware of the importance of education.
A total of 4,536 primary dropout children returned to schools.
Majority of them are from the Dalit and indigenous community, according the District Education Office Palpa.
In this academic session, the number of new enrollment that also includes dropout is 9,774.
