Envoy pledges continued Indian support

Sarlahi, November 1:

Indian ambassador Rakesh Sood said today that India would continue its economic, physical and moral support to Nepal.

Addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone for the construction of a building for Janata High School in Nawalpur of Netragunj VDC-9, Sood said Nepal and India enjoyed deep cultural and social ties. He said both the countries would benefit only through the progress

in the education sector.

“Along with our constant contribution in education, irrigation and rural hydropower sectors, we are also targeting for the repair and construction of roads in rural areas,” said the Indian envoy.

Sood also urged technicians of the Sarlahi District Development Committee to construct the building on time.

The school building is being constructed at a cost of Rs 15.9 million.
