Envoy Sood lays foundation stones of school buildings

JHAPA: Indian ambassador to Nepal, Rakesh Sood Today said that Nepal and India have maintained cordial relations for ages. Envoy Sood said so while laying foundation stones of school buildings in Jhapa.

At a function at Laxmi Higher Secondary School in Baniyani, Sood highlighted close cultural and social relations between the two countries and said that such relations would continue in future too. He also said that India had been helping in the development activities of Nepal. The envoy also expressed his commitment to continued cooperation.

Meanwhile, it was reported that the construction would complete within the next 15 months at an estimated cost of Rs 22.5 million. Yam Prakash Rai, chairman, school management committee, chaired the function. Lawmaker Purna Singh Rajbanshi, Chief District Officer Narendra Dahal and Local Development Officer Bhupal Bahadur Niroula aired their views.

Likewise, at another function, envoy Sood laid foundation stones of Pathariya Secondary School. The school building would be constructed at a cost of Rs 23.5 million.
