DAILEKH: Telephone and electricity services have been halted in the district for the last couple of days.
Broadcast of two FM stations and the publication of three weekly newspapers have also been affected due to the disruption of the essential services in the district headquarters and adjoining areas. Mobile phone network as well as fixed telephone lines have been affected due to the power cut. According to local office of the Nepal Electricity Authority, the crisis was created due to lack of a technician to fix a transmission disorder. Nepal Telecom officials said waiting for power supply was the only option.
