Explosion in Rolpa village injures 5
KATHMANDU: Five persons were injured in a bomb explosion in Rolpa district of Mid-Western Nepal on Saturday.
A person has been feared buried in the rubble after the explosion flattened his house.
The bomb had exploded at the house of Shree Prasad Gharti in Talabang, Thabang-1 of the district, injuring five people including his wife.
Thabang is the remote village from which the former rebels, Maoists, had begun their armed struggle against the state 20 years ago.
The injured have been taken to Jaljala Community Health Centre and are out of danger, police said.
Shree Prasad is feared buried under the rubble.
The incident site is around 70 kilometres away from the district headquarters.
Police said a Nepal Army bomb disposal team has also been deployed to the incident site fearing that some other explosives can be found there.
