Health issues related to eye infection and allergy have surfaced among the locals of Kanchanpur district due to excessive air pollution caused by wildfire across the nation in the past few weeks.

Most of the patients visiting the health posts and hospital are of eye infection in the district.

According to Assistant Health Worker of Jhalari-based health post, Lokendra Eir, daily 30-50 eye infection patients are turning up the health facility for treatment.

He said that the people with eye itching and burning are visiting the health post for treatment. "The problem has surfaced after the rise in air pollution", he added.
