BHOJPUR: A woman died after she was hit by a rock falling off the cliff at Parewadin in Dhankuta of eastern Nepal, police said.

Identified as Kamala Subedi, the victim was cutting grass for her cattle when she was hit by rock on Sunday afternoon.

With critical head injuries, the Biratnagar-based Eastern Regional Police Office said, Subedi was rushed to Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar.

Her life, however, could not be saved. She died on Sunday night during the course of treatment, police said.
