BANEPA: A man and his minor daughter were killed after a truck hit the motorcycle they were riding on along the Araniko Highway in Kavrepalanchok district on Friday.

Police identified the victims as 28-year-old Ram Chandra Karki, a permanent resident of  Ramechhap who was currently residing in Banepa, and his five-year-old daughter Raksha.

Critically injured in the incident at Ugratara Janagal area, the father-daughter duo were rushed to a hospital for treatment. Their life, however, could not be said, police said.

Police said they have taken the truck and its driver in custody after the accident.
