Father held for raping 14-year-old daughter

CHITWAN: A 39-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping his 14-year-old daughter repeatedly for the past three months, the police said on Friday.

The minor filed an FIR (First Information Report) against her father at the Khaireni Area Police Office in Chitwan on Monday, accusing him of sexually abusing her for months.

Subsequently, the police arrested the accused from Nuwakot district and brought him to District Police Office, Chitwan on Wednesday for further investigation, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) and DPO Spokesperson Durga Raj Regmi.

Police Inspector Dhan Dev Saud at the Khaireni Area Police Office said the man took advantage of the situation when his wife had gone to her maternal house after giving birth to a child.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
