Feasibility study of Mundhum trekking route begins

A week-long feasibility study of Mundhum trekking route started today in a bid to promote tourism in the four hilly districts of the east.

The feasibility study aims to promote tourism in Khotang, Solukhumbu, Bhojpur and Sankhuwasabha.

Chairman of Maiyum Temke Salpa Silichung Tourism Promotion Development Centre Ramesh RaiĀ  said the study of Mundhum trekking route had started from Kathmandu through Holesunggadi, Halesi, Tuwachungjayayum of Haleshi Tuwachung Municipality and reached Bhojpur through Chakhewa, Temkedanda and Maiyumdanda.

The detailed study of the geographical location, marketing of the route, condition of the road, map survey, access to water, among other factors, will be carried out during in one week.
