KATHMANDU: The Election Commission on Wednesday said the final name list of the candidates of the first round of the local polls in province number 3, 4 and 6 would be published on Friday, May 5.

The first round of local level elections is going to be held on May 14.

The Commission also stated that it would allocate the election symbols to the candidates on May 5.

Similarly, the Commission would publish the names of the nominated candidates at 1 pm tomorrow. It has also set the deadline of 5 pm tomorrow for the candidates wanting to withdraw their names from the list.

The Election Commission had set the time from 10 am to 1 pm on Wednesday to file complaints against the candidates if any.

Registration of candidacies for 283 local level positions in 34 districts of the three provinces was carried out on Tuesday.
