Bhojpur, May 22

Dharma Devi Municipality has financially helped patients suffering from 10 types of chronic diseases in Sankhuwasabha.

Mayor Ramesh Gimi said that the third municipal assembly ad decided to offer financial assistance to patients suffering from kidney disease, cancer, heart disease and asthma, among other ailments.

Mayor Gimi added that poor, helpless and disabled persons in the municipal areas would be able to avail of the facility in the hospitals along with primary treatment.

He further added that the municipality had decided to offer Rs 15,000 to the patients from the municipality’s budget in order to encourage and motivate the patients to visit the hospital.

Gimi said 10 such patients of the municipality had received the facility.  According to Gimi, as many as 22 patients suffering from chronic diseases had submitted applications seeking the facility. The facility will be provided as per the recommendation of the ward office.
