Solukhumbu fire guts property worth Rs 3.7 million
BHOJPUR: Property worth more than Rs 3.7 million including three houses has been completely destroyed in the fire that broke out at a house near the District Jail in the district headquarters of Solukhumbu on Thursday.
The fire that sparked from the kitchen of Biraj Tamang’s house also gutted the adjoining houses belonging to locals Chandrakala Rai and Sharan Rai.
The fire that had sparked at around 3:45 pm today was brought under control after two hours .
Valuables, including a hotel in Chandrakala’s house and a grocery shop at Tamang’s house, have been gutted in the fire, said police.
The detailed report of the loss is yet to be ascertained, informed police.
According to DSP Madhav Budhathoki, a nearby house of Yam Kumari Rai has been demolished to prevent the fire from spreading further.

Fire breaks out in Solukhumbu district headquarters

KATHMANDU: A fire broke out in a house situated in Salleri Bazaar of Solukhumbu district at around 4 pm on Thursday.
According to the Solukhumbu District Police Office, the fire broke out from a hotel on the ground floor of the house.
At least three houses have been gutted by the fire, police added.
Further details are yet to be ascertained, police added.
