Fire guts four houses in Saptari village

RAJBIRAJ: A fire gutted four houses in Chhinnamasta-1 Saptari, destroying the property worth Rs 500,000 on Saturday.

The fire had suddenly sparked in a house owned by Bablu Yadav at 10 pm. It was later spread to three other houses, all thatched by hay.

The inferno reportedly gutted all the property inside them and cash Rs 50,000 cash, said the District Police Office.

According to police, adjacent houses of Mohan Sada and Krishna Sada also sustained partial damage while extinguishing the fire.

The fire was doused after four hours with the collective effort of Nepal Police, Armed police force, fire engines and locals, said the Sakhada Area Police Office.
