SANKHUWASABHA: At least seven houses were destroyed in a massive fire at Mulkharka Bazaar of Sankhuwasabha in the wee hours of Tuesday.

According to police, houses belonging to Narendra Gurung, Bhuvan Gimi, Mohan Mani Dahal, Gopal Gimi, Suresh Gimi, Bal Bahadur Gimi and Ram Bahadur Gimi were destroyed in the blaze.

The incident occurred at around 1:30 am today.

The cause behind the fire was electric short circuit.

Details of the property engulfed in the fire are yet to be established.
