HUMLA: Twelve houses were destroyed in a fire in Karkibada Ward 7 of Sarke Rural Municipality.

According to Ward Chair Krishna Bahadur Joshi, police personnel and locals worked together to put out the fire.

Meanwhile, heavy winds blew away the roof of a hostel housing people with disabilities. The hostel is run by the Sahara Group, Simikot, Humla.

Assistance has been sought from the District Administration Office to provide relief to the victims, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Kamal Prasad Nepal informed.
