Sarlahi, December 25:

A member of a family died, while two others were injured seriously when fire engulfed a house in Balara VDC of Sarlahi on Tuesday night.

Mira Kumari, 18 months, daughter of Birendraraya Yadav of Balara VDC-2, died

when the fire engulfed Yadav’s house, said Sub-Inspector Mahendra Shah, adding Ram Prabesh Yadav,10, and Kokiladevi Yadav, 35, were injured.

The house caught fire while family members were lighting fire to keep themselves warm.

Property worth Rs 2 lakh was also damaged, police said.
