First instalment for seven local levels halted

Seven local levels of Dolakha could not receive the first instalment of the budget amount for this fiscal as they did not submit details of the last fiscal.

The local levels receive the amount of one year in four instalments allocated by the central government. Treasury and Financial Comptroller Office, Dolakha, said that of the nine local levels in the district, two local levels received the first instalment for this fiscal. The remaining local levels could not receive the allocated budget as they did not submit last year’s financial details.

Bhimeshwor Municipality had received the allocated amount on August 21, while Jiri Municipality took the amount on August 22.

Chief at the Treasury and Financial Comptroller Office Bhim Prasad Neupane said Kalinchowk, Gaurishankar, Tama Koshi, Baiteshwor, Melung, Bigu and Sailung Rural Municipalities are yet to submit financial details of the last year.

Accountant Santosh Sigdel at Treasury and Financial Comptroller Office said August 10 was the release date for the first allocated budget, the release date for the second instalment was October 18, for the third, the release date was January 15, and the release date for the fourth instalment was April 14.

He said Rs 41 crore, one lakh, 42 thousand was allocated to Bimeshwor Municipality this fiscal; while Rs 23 crore, 83 lakh and 45 thousand was allocated to Jiri Municipality and Rs 29 crore, 83 lakh, 30 thousand was allocated to Kalinchowk Rural Municipality.
