KATHMANDU, MAY 12
A woman climber scaled the world's highest peak today becoming the first Nepali female doctor to successfully scaling Mt Everest this season.
Pemba Dorje Sherpa, Managing Director at Himalayan Shepherd Pvt Ltd said that Dr Preeti Bhusal who works at Grande Hospital stood atop the mountain this morning.
"Bhusal climbed Everest honoring Nepali frontline medical practitioners who served tirelessly in time of Covid-19," Sherpa added.
Likewise, renowned climber Phurba Tenjing Sherpa along with the grandson of Late Ang Rita Sherpa also scaled Mt Everest.
"Tenzing, grandson of Ang Rita scales Mt Everest following the footsteps of his grandfather this season," he added.
