HETAUDA: Police have arrested five persons for their involvement in theft of a precious stone from Bhimphedi of Makawanpur on Saturday evening. Makawanpur police said those arrested had stolen the precious item from Bouddha, Kathmandu yesterday. Makawanpur police handed over the arrested to the Metropolitan Crime Department Office, Kathmandu the same evening. The arrested have been identified as Di Dorjee Lama, 35, of Phuntasoling-Bhutan, Tshering Lama, 32, of West Bengol-India, Saroj Gurung, 30, Aahir Ali, 38 of Jalpaigudi and Aashid Saibo, 31, of Silgudi-India. DSP Sishu Sharma of DPO, Makawanpur said the police arrested them during security checks while they were en route to Hetauda from Kathmandu.
