JAJARKOT: As many as five people were injured in lightning in Jajarkot district on Sunday night.

The injured have been identified as Laxmiman Kami, Himraj BK, Sunita BK, Damber Bahadur Shahi and Dhan Rupa BK of Kolcheura village in the district.

Among the injured, Laxmiman is said to be in critical condition and has been taken to Radi bazaar in Rukum district for treatment. The other victims are receiving treatment in the village.

Locals said electric metre boxes, radio and television sets were also damaged when the thunderbolt struck the utility pole near the village.
