Identity of five deceased confirmed
KATHMANDU, JANUARY 18
The identities of five individuals killed in a road accident in Dharan this afternoon have been confirmed, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Sunsari, Chandra Khadka, said.
The deceased have been identified as Dhairiya Kumar Yadav of Samsi Rural Municipality in Mahottari district; 18-month-old Risham Kumar Mandal of Janakpur; Omesh Rai of Barahachhetra-3 in Sunsari district; Nayan Thapa Magar of Mechinagar in Jhapa district; and Subekshya Subba of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-13.
The bus (Ko 1 Kha 7119), en route to Dharan from Dhankuta district, collided with a roadside medical building at Zero Point in Dharan, resulting in the deaths of five people and injuries to 13 others, Deputy Superintendent of Police Khadka said.
The injured are currently receiving treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
