KATHMANDU: A flame  destroyed property worth around Rs 1.9 million  in a building in Thapthali, KMC-11 on Thursday.

According to police, the fire that broke out due to an electric short circuit had gutted the property of Narayan Shrestha and Ram Maharjan's shops located in the building.

The fire was put off with the help of a fire brigade, local people and police.
