DHANKUTA: The UML-affiliated Youth Force (YF) Dhankuta has started collecting relief for Saptakoshi river flood victims. At least 40,000 people have become homeless after Saptakoshi gushed into their villages after breaching the 500-metre section of the Saptakoshi embankment. YF said it began collecting relief in Dhankuta and Hilebazaar on Tuesday. Till now, 150 pieces of clothing, five utensils and Rs 6,635 have been collected, president of the YF Dhankuta Sujan Bhai Joshi said. Stating that collection of relief would continue for a few days, he said relief would be delivered to the flood victims soon.
