HETAUDA: Minister for Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala urged the UCPN Maoists and other parties to forge a consensus to ensure the timely drafting of the new statute by ending the current political stalemate.

She said that without the Maoist's involvement in the constitution process, timely drafting of the statute is impossible.

Speaking at a programme organised by Nepali Congress affiliated Nepal Culture Association, she said that it would be a disaster if the constitution making process is halted due to this political deadlock.
