Foreign Minister Gyawali off to Japan
KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has left for Tokyo with a 7-member delegation today at the invitation of his Japanese counterpart Taro Kono.
During the visit, a meeting will be held on November 19 between the delegates led by Ministers Gyawali and Kono, said the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
On the occasion, a signature ceremony would also be held in relation to food aids to be provided to Nepal by Japan in the presence of the two leaders.
Minister Gyawali is also scheduled to hold separate meetings with Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Takamori Yoshikawa and other political leaders. He will address a workshop entitled Nepal investment where he will hold discussion with Nepalis living in Japan. On his way back to home, he is scheduled to visit Thailand on November 22 and 23, said the Ministry.
He is scheduled to return home on November 23.
