Gorkha:

A group of Maoist cadres led by CPN (Maoist) Gorkha district Secretary, Chuda Khadka alias Prakash, on Monday took under control the Gorkha Hill Resort.

The resort, located at Ward no 4 of the Prithvi Narayan Municipality, is owned by former Chief of the Army Staff and advisor to King Gyanendra, Sachit Shumsher JB Rana. The resort spreads over an area of 40 ropani of land and has more than half a dozen small huts built on it.

The Maoists had attacked the resort three times during the insurgency. Presently, the resort was vacant.
