DHARAN, AUGUST 28

Newly-appointed registrar of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences Dharan has been deprived of official quarter after the former registrar did not vacate it though he had resigned a year ago.

After former registrar Mohan Chandra Regmi did not vacate the quarter, incumbent registrar Dr Surya Prasad Rijal has been coming from Biratnagar to attend his duty. Regmi has not returned facilities other than the quarter as well.

Regmi has been ignoring BP- KIHS's repeated calls to vacate the quarter.

Meanwhile, new registrar Dr Rijal is planning to erect tents on the premises to live.

"Vice-chancellor Dr Gyanendra Giri has assured to provide residence within a week. If the residence is not provided within the week, I shall erect tent in front of BP Koirala as I am having hard time commuting from Biratnagar," added Rijal.

BPKIHS administration has sought support of Sunsari CDO to remove Regmi from the registrar's quarter.

As per the BPKIHS' rule, a registrar has to vacate the quarter within 15 days' of his resignation.

Regmi had put in his papers last year.

He has been using various facilities unlawfully. He has not returned laptop, mobile, and other devices he purchased as a registrar.
