Former PM Giri no more
KATHMANDU: The Former prime minister and senior politician Tulsi Giri is no more. He was 93 years old.
Giri breathed his last on Tuesday morning at his own residence in Budhanilkantha Villa, according to Giri's family.
Giri had been suffering from liver-related affliction since long and was admitted at the Bhaisipati-based Medicity Hospital. He died after being brought back to his home this morning.
Tulsi Giri, born in 1962 in Siraha, was the Prime Minister of Nepal from 1975 to 1977, and Chairman of the Council of Ministers in 1963, and again in 1964 and 1965. He was also the vice-chairman of the council of ministers during the then king Gyanendra Bikram Shah.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters.
