Four arrested with 120kg marijuana in Parsa

BIRGUNJ: District Police Office (DPO), Parsa arrested four persons in possession of 120 kilograms of marijuana from Bagahi of Birgunj Metropolitan City-28.

The arrested have been identified as Ramesh Lamichhane and Dammar Mani Ghimire (20) of Lalbandi Municipality-17 in Sarlahi, Prem Das (42) of Paterwa Sugauli Rural Municipality-4, and Rajesh Khawas (35) of Sakhuwa Prasauni Rural Municipality-6 in the district.

A team led by chief of Parsa DPO, Superintendent of Police (SP) Somendra Singh Rathore, intercepted a car (BR 01 DB 0003) along with a motorcycle (Na 24 Pa 8764) and arrested the four while they were on their way to India, according to Spokesperson at Parsa DPO, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ananta Ram Sharma.

The marijuana was found inside the trunk of the car.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
