Four cops hurt in election victory rally clash between NC, FSF-N

Bara, December 13

Four security personnel were injured in a clash between cadres of Nepali Congress and Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal at Beldari of Pacharauta Municipality in Bara, today.

The incident took place when FSF-N cadres were taking out a victory rally in the municipality that falls under Constituency No 2 of the district.

Police said they had to fire some rounds in the air to bring the situation under control. Police said a dispute had started after some NC cadres told rallying FSF-N cadres ‘not to make noise’. The FSF-N cadres were playing musical instruments in the rally.

The FSF-N cadres accused NC activists of attacking them with stones and sticks while they were rallying to celebrate the victory of party leader Ramsahaya Yadav. They added that they had retaliated.

Meanwhile, SP Raj Kumar Baidabar at District Police Office, Bara, said police initially used batons to contain the violent crowd but they resorted to firing some rounds in the air as the situation started getting out of control.
