4 killed in road accidents in Rupandehi, Dhading
TILOTTAMA: Three people were killed when a motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a truck in Rupandehi on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as biker Bir Bahadur Barmaja (32) of Somadi VDC-1, Palpa, pillion riders Madhu Rana (37) of Kimdanda VDC-1, Arghakhanchi and his three-year-old daughter Simran. They all died on the spot, according to Western Regional Traffic Police Office, Butwal.
The accident occurred when the motorcycle (Lu 10 Pa 2523) was hit by the truck with Indian registration number (UP 53 8309) heading towards Sunauli from Bhairahawa, SP Hariraj Wagley said.
Police have launched a manhunt for the driver who escaped following the incident.
Meanwhile, a man died after a truck (Ba 3 Kha 6680) he was travelling in met with an accident at Thakre-9 in Dhading along Prithivi Highway on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as truck helper Suman Bhujel (26) of Kewalpur VDC, according to the Area Police Office, Khanikhola.
