UDAYAPUR, MAY 30
Four people died after a truck skidded off the road at Bhadaure in Katari municipality-14 of Udayapur district today.
Truck driver Sujit Ghalan, 35, and Nikesh Khadka, 25, both of Simara Municipality-1, were killed in the incident, as were 17-year-old Anoj Lama and 37-year-old Rajan Tamang, both of Simara, Bara district.
The truck (Na 8 Kha 8257) was in route to Solu from Mirchaiya when it slipped off the road and plunged 100 meters below along the Siddhicharan road this morning, killing all four people on the scene, according to the Udayapur District Police Office. The cement truck was delivering cement to the Solu Hydropower plant.
The remains were recovered by a team from the Area Police Office Katari that arrived on the scene shortly and transported them to the Katari Hospital for post-mortem examination.
