Four-lane bridge to be constructed over Mahakali River

KANCHANPUR: Four-lane Bridge would be constructed over the Mahakali River to connect Bhimduttanagar Municipality and Dodhara Chandani Municipality in Kanchanpur district of Far-Western Nepal.

Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ramesh Lekhak today inaugurated the office set up to facilitate construction of the bridge over the Mahakali River in the district.

While inaugurating the office, Minister Lekhak added that the construction of the bridge would promote and enhance the economic development of the region.

Mahakali Bridge Project chief Sunil Babu Panta shared that the four-lane bridge was going to be constructed under the Road Improvement Project.

He added that the DPR has been approved to construct the bridge.

Meanwhile, Exim Bank of India is providing Rs 4.5 billion as soft loan for the construction of the bridge in the Far-Western Nepal.
