Four missing siblings found murdered
Nepalgunj, November 29
Four children of a family were found buried after they were murdered in Mugu’s Hyanglu VDC this morning.
Nanda Bahadur Rokaya’s daughters Suntali, 9, and Bipana, 4, and sons Yubraj, 6, and Dip, 4, were murdered and buried in the same ditch in the field 100 metres from the village, according to Sukadhika police post. The deceased children had been missing since October 25. Nanda Bahadur had lodged an FIR at Sukadhika Police Post the next day, claiming that his wards had gone missing.
Police personnel from Area Police Office, Ratapani, and Sukadhika police post led by ASI from District Police Office have been sent to the incident site.
Inspector Lok Bahadur GC said that an investigation into the incident was under way.
“As the incident site is two days’ walk from headquarters Gamgadhi and communication facility is poor, we can expect details only by tomorrow,” said Inspector GC. He added that real cause of the incident was yet to be ascertained.
The murdered children’s father, mother and grandmother have been taken into custody and kept at Area Police Office, Ratapani, suspecting their hand in the killings.
