Four persons including two tourists found dead

An American tourist died of cardiac arrest while trekking in Manang today, according to a source at Gandaki Province Police Office in Pokhara. The deceased has been identified as Stephen Vaughn Smith, 65, bearing passport number 64602745.
Stephen, who was on a trek along Thorang La Pass, died at about 11:45am in Tankimanang of Dishyang Rural Municipality-7 today. Similarly, German tourist Karl Heinj Schickel, who had been staying at Lucky Seven Guest House in Lakeside of Pokhara was found dead in his hotel room today. As he didn’t come out of his room till noon, owner of the guest house went to check his status to find him dead in his bed. The hotelier had then informed police.
Also, 70-year-old Jhapat Bahadur BK of Kalimati in Kushma Municipality-10, Parbat, was found dead. Police, citing investigation, said BK had the habit of drinking alcohol and he could have died from alcohol overdose.
Likewise, police have found the body of Batuli Kamini, 60, a resident of Dhorpatan Municipality-8, in Baglung, who had gone missing since September 24. Her body was found on the banks of Sukurdungkhola in the same ward, police said.
