Four sustain injuries in truck-car collision
DAMAULI: Four persons have sustained injuries when a car collided with a truck at Manichowk of Myagde Rural Municipality-4, Tanahun along the Damauli-Khairenitar road section of Prithvi Highway, on Saturday.
The truck (Na 6 Kha 7660) en route from Pokhara to Kathmandu collided head-on with the car (Ba 14 Cha 6076) coming from the opposite direction.
According to Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Tanahun, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Leela Raj Lamichhane, the injured have been identified as Sanjay Thapa Magar (25), Smriti Rai (28), Tara Rana (20), and Suman Thapa (20) of Dumre in Bandipur Rural Municipality-1, Tanahun.
DSP Lamichhane further informed that the injured are currently receiving treatment at Ratnahari Hospital in Damauli.
The truck has been impounded and its driver detained by Tharpu-based Police Post.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the incident is going on.
