KATHMANDU: An alliance of different students' unions on Thursday demanded the Tribhuvan University (TU) to announce the date for election of the Free Students Union (FSU) at all its campuses soon.

A meeting of the alliance that took place at the office of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) also decided to carry out demonstrations across the country on April 3, against price hike and mushrooming black market of petroleum products.

The alliance includes representatives of 13 different students' unions including the ANNFSU, the Nepal Students Union (NSU) and the All Nepal National Independent Students Union (ANNISU-Revolutionary).

Likewise, the alliance is meant to submit a memorandum to the Ministry of Education on April 4, seeking an end to problems increasing in the education sector, as stated by ANNFSU Secretary RC Lamichhane.
