Free tuition classes being run for SLC students

Some amount of the Parliamentary Development Fund meant for Saptari constituency - 3 is being utilised to run tuition classes for students appearing in SLC examinations in the district next year.
Following the initiatives of Parliamentarian Umesh Kumar Yadav, who was elected from Saptari constituency-3, coaching classes are now being run in some 18 community schools in his and a few nearby constituencies.
A total sum of Rs 1.2 million from the Parliamentary Development Fund meant for the constituency has been allocated to run classes that started from December 16.
Classes for four subjects English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies are run for three hours every day in the morning shift.
Parliamentarian Yadav visits at least one school every week to monitor the classes.
A 15-member monitoring committee comprising of retired school teachers has also been formed for the regular monitoring of the classes.
The district headquarters-based Rajdevi Secondary School and Public Bindeshwori Secondary School, Narendra Memorial School of Boriya, Rudranarayan Secondary School of Gorgama, Janata Secondary School of Itahari Bishnupur, Bhupendra Sanskrit School of Chhinnamasta, Janata Secondary School of Kupahi, and other schools in the district are now running coaching classes.
District Education Officer Dolaraj Pande praised the initiative taken by the parliamentarian. Yadav said he hoped to continue such programmes in the coming years too based on the success of this initiative.
