Jhapa, February 17:

The Jhapa District Development Committee member Gyan Bahadur Magar resigned from the post today after being released from Maoists’ abduction yesterday.

Maoists had abducted Magar on Tuesday and he was released on the condition that he would resign from his post. Another DDC member Ashok Subba, who was abducted a day before Magar and was released with the same condition, had not quit.
