Fugitive arrested after 20 years from Nawalparasi

NAWALPARASI: The District Police on Friday arrested a fugitive, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison and along with confiscation of all of his property.

The arrestee has been identified as Lal Bahadur Kumal (54), currently residing at Chisapani of Benimanipur-7.

Kumal had been absconding since 2001 after murdering Bal Bahadur Kumal and Dhan Bahadur Kumal with a knife.

Meanwhile, two youths were arrested in possession of contraband drugs during a police checking from Kawasoti section along the East-West Highway on Friday.

The arrestees have been identified as Bhakta Bahadur Pun and Jivan Pun of Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City, police informed.

The police confiscated 28 Diazepam tablets, 28 Nopin and 48 Phenergan tablets from of a public bus that they were travelling on.
