Pokhara: The dream of new Nepal cannot be realised until monarchy exists in Nepal, Gagan Thapa, the Nepal Students’ Union leader, said on Monday.

Addressing a programme held by NSU Prithvi Narayan Campus unit in Pokhara, Thapa said, “New Nepal cannot be formed by backing the old autocratic monarchy.”

Thapa said forces were conspiring to give continuity to the monarchy. “NSU will oppose NC if it goes against the wishes of people and other students’ bodies should do the same.”
